A devoted protector with an incredible talent for tracking
Luna-lea, believed to be a Malinois-German Shepherd cross, joined the reserve in June 2026 after being rescued from an awful previous home where her owner was arrested.
Her arrival came at an incredibly difficult time for the team, following the loss of Monty and Hunter. Luna-lea quickly became a much-needed source of hope and formed a beautiful bond with her handler, Michael.
Caring, devoted and fiercely loyal to those she trusts, Luna-lea has already shown just how special she is. She has a natural instinct to protect her people and has demonstrated an impressive talent for tracking.
Her future within the K9 team looks extremely promising, and we cannot wait to see what lies ahead for this remarkable girl.
