Be there when 10 rhinos move home
This autumn, Endangered Rhino Conservation UK is relocating 10 rhino from Mankwe Wildlife Reserve to their new home at Izintaba Private Reserve — a translocation years in the making, and a story that deserves to be told properly.
We're inviting a small, hand-picked group of conservation-minded influencers to join us on the ground for the full journey: 10 days spanning both reserves, with direct access to the move, the people behind it and the land itself.
The Story Isn't Finished
10 rhinos are moving. 25 still need a future.
ERC currently cares for 35 rhino. This move only secures new land for 10 of them. Your content from this trip won't just document a translocation — it can help ERC find the land, funding and support needed to give the rest of the herd the same chance.
The Land Behind the Story
From redundant land to a safe haven
Mankwe wasn't always a rhino sanctuary. The MacTavish family took a redundant piece of land, once built around a disused explosives factory, and spent years turning it into a working reserve ready to give rhino a home.
You'll meet the family, walk the land and hear that transformation first-hand — the story of how an unlikely site became a safe haven.
